R2 Rock’n’Reel review the Veloninos!

rock-and-reel-magazine-logoIt was great to see David Burke’s review of our self-titled album in the latest issue of R2 Rock’n’Reel Magazine.

They said, “Davie Duncan’s vocals are both tough and tender, and Laurie Cuffe’s lead guitar lines mostly ardent, occasionally angular (especially when he throws angular Marc Ribot shapes on “Hey Véloniño!”). The whole thing is anchored beautifully by the savvy rhythm section of Kenny McLellan on second guitar and Shug Jamieson’s big bass.”

The album is available now in physical and digital formats from veloninos.com, iTunes and Amazon.

UK Rock’n’Roll Magazine review the Veloninos!

uk-rock-magazine-featured-02We were really happy to see UK Rock’n’Roll Magazine review our recently released self-titled album in their May 2016 issue. Be sure to check ’em out at www.ukrock.net.

They said, “this collection transported me to a different time and place (in this instance mid-50’s USA) […] so when Véloniños tell me ‘I’m an Alabama man, born and bred’ I’m happy to go along with it, on the condition they keep on singing it at me.”

The album is available now in physical and digital formats from veloninos.com, iTunes and Amazon.
